Though every effort is made to research and write fresh material for each item, some commentary on this site may incidentally contain copyrighted material, the use of which has not always been specifically authorized by the copyright owner. Such material usually falls under the “Fair Use” provisions of Federal copyright law (Title 17 U.S.C., Section 107) which allow the use of copyrighted material, within certain limitations, for purposes such as criticism, comment, news reporting, teaching, scholarship and research. We endeavor to cite any references used in our research - please contact us if you feel we have inappropriately incorporated such work, stating what you would prefer to see as a correction (link, citation, removal, etc.)

In the cases of hymns, most used here are in the public domain. Where under copyright, we have made every effort to obtain the requisite permissions; in these cases, only one verse and an original harmonization is published (which strictly limits the use to those having the requisite license, for example, ownership of pew hymnals, CCLI, ONE LICENSE, etc.). We provide links to the appropriate licensing agent for those cases where this is required either for congregation or choir. In the publicy available works here, no revenue is derived such arrangements. In the case of commissioned works, which are not publicly available on this website, the cost of required rights will be paid, and be included as part of the arranger's fee unless the commissioner demonstrates appropriate licensure prior to document or electronic file transmittal.

If you wish to use copyrighted material from this site for purposes of your own that go beyond “Fair Use” or the conditions described above, you must obtain permission or a license from the copyright owner; we provide direct links in such cases to assist you in this regard. Fair Use notwithstanding, if you feel we have infringed your copyright, we will immediately comply with any request to remove or modify copyrighted material, or a welcome a request to provide appropriate credit, references, and/or links.
